and thanks for looking.
My name is
Stephen Kinsey and I have been working with paper sculpture since 1994. Although
I have experimented with various methods to accomplish the work, it seems that archival paper manipulated and
hand colored works best for me. Digital photography is also manipulated
and used for most of my background work. Digital coloring is also used as
patterns for most of the other aspects of my work. Many of my pieces are now
geared more toward illustrations for children. The bright and colorful style I
use is a perfect fit for the kinds of illustrations children love. All the methods used to create
my paper sculptures are
self taught.

The
love of my life is my wife, Jennifer. We were married on April
6, 2001. Jennifer is pictured here with her son, Tyler.
Our first
child together was born on April 21, 2002. Stephen David Kinsey Jr.
weighed in at 3 lbs. 8 oz. Stephen's a little guy, but he's happy
and healthy and we are thrilled.
My oldest son, Tyler, and I are lighthouse buffs. Here is a shot of Tyler sitting on the steps of the Drum Point Lighthouse in Maryland.
